Natural Power Concepts (NPC) is a Hawaii-based alternative energy technology incubator developing innovative new ways of harvesting electricity from natural forces such as wind, waves, tidal and current flow, solar and geothermal heat.  NPC devices are designed to generate power for distribution to the grid or for industrial and consumer applications, utilizing efficient, cost effective, elegant, environmentally safe, and wildlife friendly approaches.  

NPC was founded by internationally acclaimed inventor, artist, and aviator John Pitre (see www.johnpitre.com), who holds multiple patents and has a documented history of success at bringing products from the conceptual stage all the way through to full production, manufacturing, and distribution by strategic partners and licensees. In addition to his success as one of the most published American artists in history, whose paintings and reproductions have sold several million copies worldwide, Mr. Pitre has a strong track record as an engineer and inventor.  Pitre’s patented ROM, TimeWorks and Questar devices revolutionized the fitness industry and achieved combined sales of more than $150 million. He is also a pioneer in light aircraft and high-speed ship hull design.

To bring powerful new innovations into the rapidly expanding alternative energy market, Pitre has founded NPC and assembled a highly skilled team of specialized engineers, computer animation/modeling specialists, fabrication and prototyping experts, business development professionals, and top-tier consultants and advisors.  Focused on IP development and licensing, NPC has built up a large portfolio of nearly 100 patent pending renewable energy concepts in various stages of engineering and development, with physical fabrication of prototypes underway for a large number of devices, many of which can be brought to market rapidly.  

The company’s business model is centered around rapid prototyping for proof-of-concept development and testing, followed by direct license to manufacturers or creation of joint ventures with strategic partners to meet market needs.  As an incubator, NPC also accepts new ideas from other creative thinkers worldwide, providing technology development, commercialization assistance and consultation on computer engineering, prototyping, IP development, legal guidance, introductions to manufacturers, R&D funding, carbon credit accreditation assistance, and other areas of energy entrepreneurship.
